A major function of the Wisconsin Geriatric Education Center is to promote interchange and collaboration among Wisconsin's researchers, educators, and practitioners working in the field of aging. Since its inception in 1986, the WGEC has operated as a formal consortium consisting of Wisconsin's premier academic and health care organizations. Current consortium member institutions are:
