The Respite Care Program is designed to give caregivers a chance to receive "time-off" from the continous responsibilities of caregiving. The service is based on sliding scale fee and available 7 days a week to caregivers residing in Suffolk County NY. The respite workers are trained screnned members of the community. It is funded by the Suffolk County Office for Aging and NYS Office for Aging.The Respite Program was established in 1984.
