The Central Plains Geriatric Education Center (CPGEC), formerly the Kansas Geriatric Education Center, was established July 1, 1998 with a grant from the Bureau of Health Professions division of the Health Resources and Services Administration. The CPGEC is housed in the Center on Aging, at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas.
