Research

AHAF is one of America's leading supporters of scientific and medical investigations into Alzheimer's Disease, Glaucoma, Macular Degeneration, Heart Disease, and Stroke. Founded in 1973, AHAF has since awarded more than $60.3 million in research grants to some of the most prominent scientists working at universities, hospitals and medical centers around the world. Education

In addition to the critical need for research, AHAF is dedicated to a proactive program to educate the public about the dangers of these diseases and the steps that can be taken to reduce an individual's risk of becoming a victim. Through its public education program, AHAF also strives to provide important information and resources to patients, caregivers and loved ones on ways to cope with age-related diseases.
