Aging Resources of Central Iowa

Aging Resources of Central Iowa is an Area Agency on Aging designated under the Older Americans Act of 1965, as amended. Established in 1973 by an amendment to the Older Americans Act, the Area Agencies on Aging are the largest national program designed exclusively to address the social service and nutritional needs of persons age 60 and over. Area Agencies are a partnership among federal, state, and local governments and the private sector to advance the social and economic agendas of the elderly.
