- Qualified Medicare Beneficiary

An individual who is entitled to Medicare Part A, whose income does not exceed 100% of the Federal Poverty Level, and whose resources do not exceed 200% of the resource-eligibility standard for Supplemental Security Income. State Medicaid programs pay Medicare Part A and B deductibles and coinsurance, Part B premiums, and voluntary Part A premiums for QMBs.
